Savage Stone recently hosted 250+ Guilford Park High School freshman to get up close and personal with geology [and mining!] as they go through their Earth science class.
We covered plate tectonics, crushed stone’s use in everyday life (erosion/sediment control, asphalt, concrete, utilities bedding, pavers, block, roofing), as well as, critical minerals and their end-uses.
